I don't just design your website, I create it too. Using the website platforms Wix or Squarespace, I create your website, optimizing for both desktop and mobile phone viewing and navigation. 

Once your site is complete, I also provide a brief video training session showing you the behind the scenes workings of your website platform. This ensures you know your way around either Wix or Squarespace, and equips you to make your own changes to the site (if you feel comfortable doing so).

I typically recommend 5 basic pages for a business website. Businesses with a more complex project portfolio or service offering often require additional pages to prevent any one page from being too long or complex.

Before I design a website, I get to know you, your business, your services, and your dream customers. That way the website I design fully embodies who you are, what you do, and who you serve. 

Even if you you haven't invested in hiring a graphic designer or brand specialist for your business, you likely have some branding in place already (logo, colors, fonts, etc).  

You will receive a business and brand analysis including competitor research, ideal customer targeting, and your unique service offerings. I work with what you want to keep or help you create a great new logo and brand if you want (additional brand services may be recommended, depending on my conclusions and your goals.)

Strategic photos make a website come together with authenticity and heart. Using "public domain" stock imagers, I select and curate a collection of stock images to use on your new website. 

These stock images reflect your brand, your business, and your ideal customers. You may provide me with your own collection of stock images for your website design, but I will only use them if you have full rights or ownership over the images.

SEO Optimization (outside referral)

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is key to getting your website discovered by search engines such as Google. If you are interested in SEO services, I will happily refer you to a trusted specialist who will take care of you and your website.

I perform a brief audit of your business, brand, current website (if any) and competitors, identifying any issues and suggestions for moving forward. Using a digital Website Questionnaire, you tell me all about your business and your vision for your website. Then we discuss your answers and my recommendations before moving forward.

I lay out the basic structure of your website, including the number of pages and how they link to each other. The complexity of your wireframe depends on your unique business, services, portfolio, and products. 

Website DESIGN

Now the creativity begins! Using your branding, I create a website that fully reflects your business, message, industry, and appeals to your target audience. The design options can vary widely depending on your website platform of choice. There are many "drag and drop" website builders that are user and wallet friendly for business owners to use and manage.

COPYWRITING

Once the website is designed and properly laid out, I write compelling, creative, on-brand copy that speaks directly to the needs of your target customer. By following strategic writing tactics, I make every word count.

All sentences are run through editing software to check for grammatical errors and punctuation. I do not use AI to write website copy.

STOCK IMAGE CURATION

Once the website is designed and properly laid out, I write compelling, creative, on-brand copy that speaks directly to the needs of your target customer. By following strategic writing tactics, I make every word count. 

All sentences are run through editing software to check for grammatical errors, check punctuation, and ensure the most effective messaging for your business.

REview & Edits

I present your website to you for review, feedback, and perform any adjustments as needed. We work through 3 rounds of revisions, from draft to completion, with guided questions at each phase.

Training & Completion

With your amazing new website live, we have a 30-minute video call so I can show you the back end of your website and briefly explain how to find and edit things yourself. 

Remember: a website is never "done." It must be regularly updated, checked for errors, and tracked to optimize incoming traffic. Being familiar and comfortable with your website program provides more confidence and knowledge to do this yourself as your business continues to grow.
